Jacksonville Arrest During Halloween and Georgia Florida Tailgate

This is going to be a big extended weekend in downtown Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach FL.  Today, RV City opens in downtown Jacksonville to kick off the Florida Georgia festivities.  Tomorrow is Halloween, and Jacksonville Beach’s bars will have plenty of partygoers.  This also means that there will be plenty of arrests in Duval County this weekend.  If you are arrested this weekend, talk to a Jacksonville criminal lawyer about your case before making any decisions.  Call (904) 564-2525.  College students will often plead no contest to a crime and believe that it will just disappear from their criminal record.  Years later, they find out that they will not be able to expunge their Florida criminal record and the charge follows them around.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will be patrolling downtown.  Michael Chambliss is the director of marketing at the Landing.  He believes that 30,000 people will be celebrating downtown. “RV City opened Wednesday morning to Florida-Georgia fans who’ve been waiting outside the gates.  They were let in at 8 a.m.  More than 100 recreational vehicles and coaches were lined up around EverBank Field waiting to get in.” (News4jax)  With the party starting early, there will likely be a lot of alcohol-related arrests between now and Sunday morning.  Drinking under age in Jacksonville is common during this event, but it is not accepted.  Police will give tickets for possession of alcohol by a minor.  This will show up on your record as an arrest, because it is a crime. If this happens, you may want to Hire a Jacksonville Lawyer After Florida Georgia Game Arrest.

Halloween is the Thursday before the big game, so there will likely be crowding at the Landing.  “The Landing is sponsoring what’s billed as ‘North Florida’s Biggest Halloween Party’ from 7 p.m. to midnight Thursday.”  (Jax Daily Record).  With so many people crowded in a tight spot, there may be arrests for Jacksonville fighting and affray or assault and battery.  Jacksonville disorderly intoxication and disorderly conduct charges are others to watch out for.

Downtown Jacksonville is not the only place that arrests will occur.  The Jacksonville Beach Police Department will have many officers out at the beaches.  There will be plenty of Halloween parties in Jax Beach at the local bars.  Jacksonville driving under the influence arrests and other alcohol-related crimes are among the most popular.  There may also be arrests for resisting an officer without violence in Jacksonville Beach FL.
