Erase Your Florida Criminal Record

If you have been arrested in Jacksonville, you have a Florida criminal record.  Most people are surprised when an employer does a Florida background check and finds Jacksonville criminal charges that were dropped.  They think, “Why is a Jacksonville arrest showing up on my Florida background check when the charges were dropped.”  It does not seem fair that you can be arrested for a crime in Duval, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns County and the Florida criminal charges can be found on a Jacksonville background check by anyone.  Even if you were arrested in Jacksonville for a crime that you did not commit, that Jacksonville arrest and Florida crime is not cleared from your Florida criminal record.  Instead, you must take steps to clear your Florida record by expunging the arrest in Jacksonville, Florida.

If you do not seal or expunge your Florida criminal record, it will follow you forever.  Depending your criminal background in Florida and the rest of the nation, you may be able to fix your Florida criminal background by clearing your record with a Jacksonville record expunction (also referred to as a Florida record expungement).
